Honey and Nut Homemade Bars

These bars are perfect for the whole family, and here's why!


1) They are high in good quality soluble fats, which are essential in the digestion and absorption of other nutrients. This is especially important for children and women (the whole family, really!). Our diets are being so congested of carbs (remember, carbs aren't bad.. the poison is in the amount of them), so including fats when possible helps with overall health, hormone functions, glowing skin, and better digestion! These bars are high in fat from the nuts, peanut butter, and coconut.


2) Foods high in fat stimulate the production of leptin, which helps our body say "I'm full". In the fat loss setting this is especially important because when we include high quality fats on a consistent basis overtime, our leptin levels stay under control, keeping fat storage down. When this hormone is down/too high we are more likely to overeat and lose our sense of "I'm full". Regulating hormone secretions at an earlier age (even childhood) helps with development and routine functionality of hormone health. Fats can help with this!


3) Did you know that 70% of our brain is made of fat? Omega 3-fatty acids are an essential building block of our brain health. They are especially important for our learning and our memory. Providing you and your children with all omegas with help a powered brain continue learning and thriving at its highest level! I'm not recommending you do "keto" or an all-fat diet; however, I am recommending that you ensure you keep healthy fats a part of your diet on a regular basis to ensure quality health (nuts, seeds, butters, extra virgin olive oil, avocado, and eggs to name a few sources!).
